Change is ever present in our lives which is why it is important to build our resilience and our awareness.
I remember reading an opinion by a hypnotherapist many years ago who believed that most of our problems come down to stress management and self-image.
Many of us fail to take stress management seriously and sail along without any strategies or techniques to deal with our day to day challenges. Unfortunately stress can accumulate over time without us even being aware. In some cases that can lead to burn-out or breakdowns. Having a morning routine that includes breathing, meditation or exercise can strengthen our mental health, which just like our physical health is something we can work on and strengthen. It is said that anxiety is one of the most common mental health issues but it need not be a life sentence. Treatments such as hypnotherapy can help us to change ingrained ways of reacting.
When it comes to resilience a little self-belief can go a long way. However, like most things it has to be rational, self-aware and balanced because overconfidence can be just as dysfunctional. There’s nothing wrong with admitting to our mistakes though we shouldn’t beat ourselves up! I’m fond of the well-known saying in NLP circles “There’s no such thing as failure only feedback.”
Often we may not even be completely aware of all of our beliefs. There may be some unconscious and unhelpful ideas that we may have internalised at a younger age that remain a problem for us. Again even in this case Clinical Hypnosis can help to change some of that old mindset in a more positive way.
