There are many ways to work with the subconscious mind and I can use a number of modalities to help you achieve the resuly you desire. Of course hypnosis provides a very direct route to making positive changes at the subconscious level. However, there are often other techniques that I will call upon inconjunction with hypnotherapy or as a stand-alone approach if desired or appropriate to the specific circumstance. Some of the other therapies I also use include Voice Dialogue, Psychodrama and Bioenergetics (and especially bioenergenetic breathing). I will discuss each of these therapeutic approaches briefly (though you can find out more on my full website by looking under “Services” or even contacting me by phone or email). Voice Dialogue is a talk therapy which helps us to connect to more resourceful parts of our personality to help us deal with situations we may be challenged by (for example, are you too nice and wanting to please when you should be more confident and assertive? Then perhaps you need to connect to a stronger part of your personality that you may have unconsciously repressed?). Psychodrama is a related therapy that seeks to explore our social roles and those around us and to help us to play a stronger and more authentic role in social situations. Bioenergetics aims to release chronic stress, tension and holding patterns in our body and mind. One of the primary techniques used is gentle breathing exercises aimed at releasing those locked down parts of us and helping us to feel freer physically and emotionally. Bioenergetic breathing can not only help us to be a calmer and more confident version of ourselves but also has many health benfits including strengthening the immune system.
