Resilience is a state of mind

Though 2020 has been a challenging year in so many ways, I find it useful to also reflect on the many challenges our ancestors faced in their time too. For example, going to war, surviving the Great Depression and perhaps even surviving famine (eg. if you have Irish ancestry). In fact, throughout our human history we have had to deal with all manner of challenges to our survival and the fact that we are here today is a testament to our ancestors’ resilience. As a result we literally have all of that resourcefulness and strength programmed in our DNA, it’s our inheritance. Knowing that can make it easier to connect to our own inner resilience though sometimes it’s useful to also connect to mentors, coaches or therapists who can facilitate that connection much in the same way that people may use a personal coach at the gym. If you would like to take that journey and you are dealing with any issue feel free to reach out to me by phone or email.
